Record Malta Winter 2017 Schedule Launched

3 NEW WINTER ROUTES TO BELFAST, NAPLES & RIGA, OVER 2.2M CUSTOMERS

Ryanair, Europe’s No 1 airline, today (1 Mar) launched its largest ever Malta winter schedule (2017), with 3 new routes to Belfast, Naples and Riga and more flights to Gdansk, Krakow, Stockholm Skavsta, Venice Treviso, Vilnius and Wroclaw, 40 routes in total, which will deliver 2.2m customers p.a. and support 1,650* jobs at Malta Airport.

Ryanair’s largest ever winter Malta 2017 schedule at Malta will deliver:

  • 3 new routes: Belfast (2 wkly), Naples (2) and Riga (2)
  • Extra flights to: Gdansk (2 wkly), Krakow (2), Stockholm Skavsta (2), Venice Treviso (4), Vilnius (2) & Wroclaw (2)
  • 40 routes in total
  • 109 weekly flights (+9%)
  • 2.2m customers p.a. (+22%)
  • 1,650* “on-site” jobs p.a.

Ryanair will also continue to connect Malta with major business and leisure centres on high frequency, low fare services including Brussels (daily) and Rome (daily), with better timings and lower fares, making Ryanair the ideal choice for Maltese business and leisure customers.

Ryanair’s Malta summer 2017 schedule is attracting record bookings, with more frequencies to destinations for summer family holidays, lower fares as Ryanair passes on lower fuel costs, and an even better customer experience, as it continues to roll out its “Always Getting Better” improvements.

In Malta, Ryanair’s Chief Commercial Officer David O’Brien said:

“We are pleased to launch our 2017 Maltawinter schedule, which includes 3 new routes to Belfast, Naples and Riga, extra flights to Gdansk, Krakow, Stockholm, Venice Treviso, Vilnius and Wroclaw and 40 routes in total, which will deliver 2.2m customers p.a. as we grow our Malta traffic. These new routes will go on sale on the Ryanair.com website later this week as we continue to grow our Maltese traffic, tourism and jobs, underlining our commitment to Malta.
