Ryanair, Ireland’s No 1 airline, today (30 Nov) announced it will host a digital donation day for 24 hours on Ryanair.com in aid of ISPCC Childline, its 2016 chosen Irish charity partner.

This major fundraising initiative will invite all Ryanair customers in Ireland to make a donation to ISPCC Childline via the “donate now” buttons on the Ryanair website, in emails and on social media during the 24 hours.

Digital Donation Day will start on Thursday 1st Dec at 9am and run until Friday 2nd Dec at 9am on www.ryanair.com/ie.

Childline is the only 24-hour listening service which seeks to support and empower children and young people in Ireland. 90% of funding is raised through corporate and individual donations, and Ryanair has been proud to be a corporate supporter over the last 12 months.

Ryanair’s Robin Kiely said:

“Ryanair is proud to partner with ISPCC Childline and support the invaluable work they do to help children. This digital donation day will launch on Ryanair.com for 24 hours and give customers the opportunity to support our partnership by donating directly to Childline via “donate now” buttons which will be located across Ryanair.com, in Ryanair emails and on our social media pages.”

ISPCC Chief Executive Grainia Long said:

“We would like to thank Ryanair for their ongoing support and for running this Digital Donation Day which will provide much-needed funds for our Childline services. We encourage everyone to make a donation, no matter how small, to the ISPCC on the donation day, the 1st December. Your help will ensure that we can answer calls from children who need us – every day and night.”
