Ryanair, Europas Fluggesellschaft Nr. 1, hat heute (Montag, 29. September) ihr deutsches Verkehrsupdate für August veröffentlicht, das bestätigt, dass Deutschland aufgrund der extrem hohen Zugangskosten, darunter die exorbitante Luftverkehrssteuer, Flugsicherungs-, Sicherheits- und hohe Flughafengebühren, weiterhin der am schlechtesten abschneidende Luftverkehrsmarkt in Europa ist. Sehr teure Flughäfen wie Dresden (-62 %), Berlin (-72 %) und Leipzig (-77 %) bleiben im Sinkflug und liegen weiterhin deutlich unter ihrem Vorkrisenniveau.

Das anhaltende Versäumnis der neuen Bundesregierung, die im Koalitionsvertrag zugesagte Senkung der Zugangskosten umzusetzen, schadet der Erholung und bremst das Wachstum. Der deutsche Luftverkehr liegt weiterhin unter dem Vor-Covid-Niveau, im starken Gegensatz zu Ländern wie Irland, Ungarn, Polen und Italien, die Zugangskosten gesenkt und Luftverkehrssteuern abgeschafft haben, um das Verkehrswachstum nach Covid zu fördern.

Ryanair fordert die Bundesregierung erneut dringend auf, das marode Luftverkehrssystem in Deutschland zu sanieren, indem sie die schädliche Luftverkehrssteuer abschafft und die Flugsicherungs- und Sicherheitsgebühren senkt, um Investitionen von Fluggesellschaften anzuziehen und die deutsche Wirtschaft, den Tourismus und die Konnektivität wiederzubeleben.

Ryanairs CMO Dara Brady sagte:  

“Unsere Verkehrszahlen für August zeigen weiterhin, dass der Luftverkehr in Deutschland im freien Fall ist und deutlich unter dem Vor-Covid-Niveau liegt, insbesondere an kostenintensiven Flughäfen wie Dresden, Berlin und Leipzig, wo Ryanair bereits Flüge für den Sommer 2025 gestrichen hat. Ryanair, Europe’s and Poland’s number one airline, announced today (25 September 2025) its winter schedule from Rzeszów, covering as many as eight routes, including an exciting new destination – Edinburgh. For the first time this winter, passengers will also be able to fly to sunny Alicante, and Ryanair will increase the frequency of its winter flights to London Luton. This will give residents of the region even more travel opportunities, both to attractive resorts in southern Europe and to dynamic British cities.

Flights on the new route to Edinburgh will operate twice a week. The capital of Scotland, famous for its majestic castle, arts festivals and atmospheric streets of the Royal Mile, is a destination that is extremely popular among Polish travellers. The connection to Alicante, on the other hand, will provide passengers from Podkarpacie with sunshine and Spanish atmosphere all year round.
