Ryanair Renews Childline Charity Partnership For 2018

13 Mar 2018

Ryanair, Europe’s favourite airline, (13 Mar) renewed its charity partnership with ISPCC Childine, which will be its chosen charity partner once again in 2018. ISPCC Childline provides a 24 hour listening service, which empowers children using telephone, online and text services.

Over 90% of ISPCC Childline funding is raised through corporate and individual donations and this partnership will allow Ryanair to support this worthy cause through a number of fundraising initiatives over the next year. Ryanair has donated over €200,000 to ISPCC Childline in the first two years of the partnership, and looks forward to continuing to work with ISPCC Childine for a third year.

Ryanair’s Chief Marketing Officer, Kenny Jacobs said:

“We are very pleased to select ISPCC Childline as our chosen charity partner for 2018, and to continue our partnership for a third successive year. Over the past two years, we have launched a number of initiatives to support ISPCC Childline, including our Design A Plane competition, The Great Christmas Giveaway, a summer holiday competition on TV3, and many more, and we look forward to launching more great activities over the next 12 months to raise more funds for this very worthy cause, which does so much invaluable work to help children in need. Customers will be able to continue supporting this partnership both online and offline and we look forward to making it another year to remember for Childline in 2018.”

ISPCC Chief Executive, Grainia Long said:

“ The ISPCC would like to extend sincere thanks to the outstanding team at Ryanair for supporting Childline’s work in 2017 and for choosing to continue this charity partnership in 2018. This partnership raises vital funds and awareness for Childline, Ireland’s national active listening service for children and young people. Childline receives over 380,000 calls each year from children and young people who often feel they have nowhere else to turn. With Ryanair’s support, our staff and volunteers can continue to be there for them 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. ”
