Ryanair Opens 5 New Malta Routes To Italy & Greece 57 Routes To/From Malta For Summer ‘21

Ryanair, Europe’s No.1 airline, today (14 Apr) announced five new Malta routes to Brindisi, Cagliari, Genoa and Trapani in Italy and Chania in Greece, all operating twice weekly as part of Malta’s Summer 2021 schedule.

Ryanair is committed to investing heavily in providing connectivity to/from Malta, and its Summer ’21 schedule will boost air traffic and lead the recovery of Maltese tourism, as vaccination programmes rollout and Europe re-opens in time for the peak holiday season. These new routes will be operated mainly by Malta Air, from its Malta base.

Ryanair’s Malta Summer ’21 schedule will deliver:

  • 6 based aircraft
  • 57 routes
  • 5 new routes from/to Brindisi, Cagliari, Chania, Genoa and Trapani – all twice weekly
  • 155 weekly flights

Maltese consumers and visitors can now book their summer 2021 holidays on even lower fares and with the reassurance that they can avail of Ryanair’s “zero” change fee should their plans change. To celebrate, Ryanair has launched a seat sale with fares available from just €19.99 for travel until the end of October 2021, which must be booked by midnight Friday, 16th April on the Ryanair.com website

Malta Air CEO, David O’Brien, said:

“As vaccination rollout programmes continue in April & May, air traffic is set to soar, and we are delighted to announce five new routes to Malta from Brindisi, Cagliari, Chania, Genoa and Trapani as part of Ryanair’s biggest ever Maltese Summer Schedule.

Mindful that Covid restrictions change regularly, customers can now book flights for a well-deserved Summer break knowing that if they need to change their travel dates, they can do so up to two times with a “zero” change fee.

To celebrate their 5 new Malta routes, Ryanair is launching a seat sale with fares available from just €19.99 for travel until the end of October 2021, which must be booked by midnight Friday, 16th April. Since these amazing low fares will be snapped up quickly, customers should log onto www.ryanair.com to avoid missing out.”

Malta Minister for Tourism, Clayton Bartolo said:

“Being an island in the heart of the Mediterranean, it is crucial that we continue strengthening our air connectivity. That the tourism world came to an abrupt halt and was impacted negatively because of COVID-19 is a well-known fact. However, there is no denying that Malta has started the road of recovery through the introduction of schemes aimed at incoming tourists and the local hospitality sector.”
