RYANAIR CELEBRATES 30 YEARS AND 30 MILLION PASSENGERS AT PRESTWICK AIRPORT

Ryanair, Europe’s No. 1 airline, today (30 July) celebrated carrying 30 million passengers through Prestwick in its 30 years of operations. Ryanair was the first low-cost airline to operate at Prestwick, starting with its first flight from Dublin Airport back in 1994. Ryanair now operates 10 routes to/from Prestwick, connecting 3 countries across Europe with its 2 Prestwick based aircraft – an investment of $200m and supporting over 500 local jobs, including 60 high-paid, high-skilled aviation jobs.

This Summer Ryanair is operating over 80 weekly flights to/from Prestwick, spanning 10 routes including Alicante, Barcelona, Faro, Murcia, Pisa and Tenerife, providing customers with unbeatable choice at the lowest fares when booking their Summer ’24 getaways.

Ryanair’s Head of Communications, Jade Kirwan said:

We are proud to operate our Ryanair Training Centre in Prestwick, where we are training the next generation of aircraft mechanics and aircraft sheet metal workers with over 400 new trainees coming through our program each year.
