RYANAIR DRIVES GROWTH IN KRAKÓW & MAŁOPOLSKA

Ryanair continues to grow and invest in Kraków, as demonstrated by its €130m simulator and training centre, which opened in 2025. The only facility of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe, this investment brings international aviation professionals to Kraków, develops local expertise and creates over 150 new direct jobs.

According to KPMG’s 2025 economic impact report, “Ryanair’s Impact on the Polish Economy”, Ryanair accounted for 54% of all passenger traffic at Kraków Airport last year. The airline’s presence and investment support almost 11,000 jobs across Małopolska and contribute over €300m to regional GDP. Kraków remains Ryanair’s largest base in Central and Eastern Europe, with its expanding route network driving tourism, connectivity for local residents and the region’s attractiveness to investors.

Michał Kaczmarzyk, CEO of BUZZ (Ryanair Group) said:

“As Poland’s No.1 airline, Ryanair is proud to announce our record Kraków Winter 2026 schedule. This winter, we will base 16 aircraft in Kraków – a $1.6bn investment and an increase of 3 aircraft year-on-year. We will operate 67 routes, including 4 new routes to Budapest, Dubrovnik, Rabat and Venice, alongside increased frequencies on over 30 popular routes.

Kraków is Ryanair’s largest base in Central and Eastern Europe and one of our key operating centres in Europe. According to KPMG’s report, over half of Kraków Airport’s passengers travelled with Ryanair last year, while our operations support almost 11,000 jobs across Kraków and Małopolska and contribute over €300m to regional GDP. Our long-term commitment is further demonstrated by our €130m simulator and training centre in Kraków, creating 150 highly paid, skilled jobs.

To celebrate our record Kraków Winter 2026 schedule, we have launched a 3-day seat sale with fares from PLN 99, available now at ryanair.com and on the Ryanair app.”

Łukasz Strutyński, President of the Management Board of Kraków Airport, added:

“We are pleased to see another milestone in our long-standing and successful partnership with Ryanair. The record Winter 2026 schedule confirms Kraków’s strong position within the network of our based carrier and responds to the growing demand for travel from our region, not only during the summer holiday season. Together, we continue to expand the range of routes available from Kraków, providing our passengers with an even greater choice of destinations and travel opportunities.”
