RYANAIR LAUNCHES RABAT AIRPORT’S FIRST AIRLINE SELF-SERVICE BAG DROP KIOSK NEW MOBILE-ENABLED TECHNOLOGY MEANS FASTER BAG DROP AND SHORTER QUEUES FOR RYANAIR PASSENGERS, WITH ROLLOUT ACROSS MOROCCO

Ryanair, Europe’s No .1 airline, today (Wed, 28 Oct) announced the launch of its new self-service kiosks at Rabat Airport, becoming the first airline to introduce self-service bag-drop kiosks at Rabat and the first in Morocco to deploy this new mobile-enabled technology and help passengers beat the queues at check-in.

Passengers checking in bags at Rabat can now use Ryanair’s new self-service facilities to enjoy a faster, simpler bag drop, shorter queues at check-in and more time to get through security and on to their departure gate.

Following its launch at Rabat, Ryanair plans to roll out the new technology across its four other Moroccan bases: Agadir, Fez, Marrakesh and Tangier, further improving the airport experience for millions of Ryanair passengers.

Today’s announcement comes as Ryanair commences its biggest ever Winter schedule for Morocco, with 5.3m low-fare seats across 156 routes connecting Morocco with 14 European countries. This record schedule gives millions of European visitors the opportunity to discover Morocco’s imperial cities, Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines, Atlas Mountains and desert landscapes while enjoying year-round sunshine.

Ryanair’s COO Neal McMahon said:

“Ryanair is delighted to be the first airline to launch self-service bag drops at Rabat. Our passengers want low fares, on-time flights and no unnecessary airport queues. These new kiosks mean anyone travelling with a checked bag can now drop it faster, beat the queues and get on with their journey using the latest technology. Following today’s launch in Rabat, we look forward to rolling out this technology across our four other Moroccan bases: Agadir, Fez, Marrakesh and Tangier in time for Summer ‘27.

Morocco has become one of Ryanair’s fastest growing and most important markets. As we commence our biggest ever Winter schedule, delivering 5.3m low-fare seats across 156 routes, including 17 exciting new routes, we look forward to delivering more growth, strengthening international connectivity and giving millions more visitors the opportunity to discover Morocco’s rich history, vibrant culture and stunning coastlines – all underpinned by Ryanair’s industry-leading low fares and an even better airport experience.”
