Ryanair, Europe’s No. 1 airline, today (1 Mar) presented a €10,000 donation to Make-A-Wish in Belgium, its newest Scratchcard partner, which continues to raise millions for charities throughout Europe.
Ryanair Scratchcards offer customers the opportunity to win cash prizes, luxury cars and the chance to scoop an impressive €1 million – all for a stake of just €2, with ongoing donations made to numerous charities across Europe.
Make-A-Wish Belgium has already carried out more than 2,600 wishes since 1990, fulfilling the wishes of children who are fighting life-threatening illnesses.
Hilde Van Der Stichele, President of Make-A-Wish Belgium, said:
“Make-A-Wish Belgium is very happy and grateful to be the Belgium charity beneficiary of the Ryanair scratchcards. It is the first time for us and we hope the start of a long and warm partnership. Financial support is essential for us to continue our work of granting the dearest wish of children between the age of 3 and 18 with life threatening diseases to create life changing experiences. We deeply appreciate this support from the passengers and crew involved with scratchcards. Thank you Ryanair.”
Aoife Greene, Ryanair’s Head of Retail, added:
“It is a pleasure to support the incredible work that Make-A-Wish do for the children and their families in Belgium. Ryanair and our crew are delighted to announce Make-A-Wish Belgium as our newest Scratchcard partner and we can’t wait to continue this partnership into the future with more donations and more wishes granted for the children of Belgium. Customers who buy Ryanair’s scratchcards are also helping a wide range of charities across Europe, who receive ongoing donations, such as Jack and Jill in Ireland, Pequeño Deseo in Spain, Refugio Aboim Ascensao in Portugal, The Meyer hospital in Italy and Kinder Hilfe in Germany. Look out for our scratchcards on your next Ryanair flight and you could be our next winner.”
