Ryanair, Malta’s No.1 airline, today (Wed, 11 Feb) announced that it will maintain the 9^th aircraft it based in Malta for Winter 2025 into Summer 2026 ($900m investment) and open 4 new routes to Gothenburg, Newcastle, Palma & Tirana, in addition to its 66 existing routes (70 total). Ryanair will also operate extra flights on over 40 other popular routes. This record Summer 2026 schedule will grow Ryanair’s Malta traffic by 20% to 6m passengers in 2026, supporting over 4,700 local jobs, including 30 new high-paid jobs for Ryanair pilots and cabin crew, and delivering unbeatable low fare choice for Maltese citizens/visitors.
