RYANAIR ANNOUNCES MALTA W25 SCHEDULE
6 NEW ROUTES AND 9TH BASED AIRCRAFT ADDED FOR W25
Ryanair, Malta’s No.1 airline, today (Wed, 24 Sep) announced its W25 schedule for Malta with 57 routes, incl. 6 new routes to Glasgow, Gothenburg, Luxembourg, Norwich, Newcastle and Palma & increased frequencies on 20 other routes incl. Milan, Porto, Bucharest and London. To deliver this growth Ryanair will add a 9th based B737 “Gamechanger” aircraft in Malta (a $100m invest) from November, creating another 30 jobs for pilots and cabin crew at Malta Intl. Airport.
This increased route schedule will grow Ryanair’s Malta traffic to over 5.2m pax in 2025 (+15%), and 9 based aircraft represents an investment of over $1 billion on the island. This growth will support over 4,300 local jobs, including 30 new highly paid pilot and cabin crew jobs. Ryanair continues to reinforce its long-term commitment to Malta, with recent investments in a state-of-the-art hangar maintenance facility and the doubling of Malta Air’s new 700 sqm Head Office in Pieta.
