With 5 routes and 13% more weekly flights, Ryanair continues to provide Slovak consumers and visitors with greater choice, competitive fares, and convenient connections while supporting inbound tourism, jobs, and the regional economy.

Alicja Wójcik-Gołębiowska, Head of Communications CEE & Baltics at Ryanair, said:
“We are delighted to announce Ryanair’s Winter ’26 schedule for Košice, featuring 5 routes and 13% growth in weekly flights compared to last winter.
At the heart of this schedule is the extension of our successful Málaga route into winter for the first time. As the only direct connection from Košice to Spain during winter, this route provides customers across Eastern Slovakia with convenient, low-fare access to Málaga all year round.
The route’s strong performance demonstrates clear demand for direct connectivity to sunny European destinations beyond the traditional summer season. This winter expansion further underlines Ryanair’s continued growth in Slovakia and our strong partnership with Košice Airport and regional stakeholders. We look forward to carrying even more passengers to and from Košice this winter, supporting regional tourism, connectivity, and economic growth.”
Thomas Dworschak, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Kosice Airport, added:
“We are delighted to see Ryanair introducing its busiest winter schedule ever at Kosice Airport, featuring five destinations and demonstrating the growing demand for international travel from our region. Strong air connectivity supports tourism, business travel, and the overall economic development of Eastern Slovakia. Málaga stands out as a particularly attractive route because it combines excellent accessibility with one of Europe’s most favorable climates, enjoying more than 330 sunny days each year. As a year-round destination, it offers our passengers the opportunity to exchange winter weather for sunshine whenever they choose.”
