Two decades ago, Ryanair made history by launching its first-ever flight from Brno Airport—Brno to London Stansted. This route not only became Ryanair’s first in the Czech Republic but remains Brno Airport’s most popular and frequently used connection to date. Thanks to its high flight frequency, it consistently sets records for passenger numbers and flight operations. Passenger traffic on this route has remained strong, averaging 100,000 passengers per year (excluding the COVID-affected period), reinforcing its importance for business and leisure travelers alike.

As part of its ongoing commitment to regional growth, Ryanair continues to expand its footprint in Czechia, further solidifying its position as the No.1 airline in the country. By increasing connectivity and offering more affordable travel options, Ryanair plays a crucial role in supporting tourism and local economies across the region.

Our brand-new route to Malaga is perfect for sun-seekers looking to explore Spain’s stunning Costa del Sol, while our popular services to London and Milan provide even greater travel options for Brno passengers. Ryanair continues to grow in regional Czechia, strengthening its position as the No.1 airline in the country and ensuring passengers have access to the best travel options at the lowest fares. We look forward to welcoming even more customers on board next summer.”

Jiří Filip, member of the board at Brno Airport added:

We are thrilled to see Ryanair expanding in Brno with the launch of a brand-new route to Malaga at the end of March.
