Ryanair, Ireland, and Europe’s No.1 airline today (24th Sep) officially launched its Winter 2024 schedule to/from Shannon Airport, with 17 routes, including exciting city breaks destinations, like Budapest, Edinburgh, Krakow, Liverpool, London, and Manchester, as well as Winter sun hotspots, like Alicante, Lanzarote, Malaga, and Tenerife. Ryanair has also added extra flights to 5 of its most popular routes to/from Shannon Airport for Winter 2024 – Kaunas, Krakow, London, Manchester, and Tenerife – offering Ryanair customers in the mid-west unbeatable route choice and regular connections at the lowest fares when booking their Winter breaks.

Ryanair’s Shannon Winter 2024 schedule will operate on the airline’s 3 Shannon-based aircraft – 2 of which are enviro efficient B-737 Gamechangers which cut CO2 emissions by 16% and noise by 40% – representing a $300m investment in Shannon, and supporting over 1,000 local jobs, while driving year-round tourism at the same time.

Ryanair has operated to/from Shannon for the past 37+ years, carrying over 20 million passengers to date and investing heavily in the region, including its €10m state-of-the-art 3-bay maintenance facility, which created over 200 high-skill local jobs for the region.

To celebrate Ryanair’s Shannon Winter 2024 schedule and 20 million passengers through Shannon Airport, the airline has launched a limited-time seat sale with fares available from just €24.99 available only at www.ryanair.com.

Ryanair’s Head of Communications, Jade Kirwan, said:

“As Ireland’s no.1 airline, Ryanair is pleased to announce our Winter 2024 schedule for Shannon, with 17 routes (including key business travel, city break and Winter sun destinations) and extra flights on 5 of those routes – Kaunas, Krakow, London, Manchester, and Tenerife – giving our mid-west customers even more choice and regular connections at the lowest fares in Europe.

Today’s announcement comes as Ryanair carries our 20 millionth passenger through Shannon Airport to date. A significant milestone and reflection of our 37+ years of operating to/from Shannon, during which time we have invested heavily in the region, including our 3 Shannon-based aircraft which represent a $300m investment and support over 1,000 local jobs, as well as our €10m state-of-the art maintenance facility – our first in Ireland – that created a further 200 high skill, high paid jobs in the region.

Speaking at the launch of Ryanair’s Winter Schedule for Shannon Airport, Mary Considine, CEO of The Shannon Airport Group said:

“We are excited to welcome Ryanair’s winter schedule, with 17 routes and increased frequency on five key Shannon Airport services to Tenerife, Kaunas, Krakow, London, and Manchester creating an additional seat capacity of almost 30,000, a 5% increase over last winter.

In addition, we are delighted to celebrate a significant milestone as Ryanair has carried over 20 million passengers through Shannon Airport since they began their Shannon operation in 1987. To mark this occasion, this morning we were thrilled to present a lucky Ryanair passenger with a pair of tickets to a destination of their choice from Shannon with Ryanair.

We look forward to continuing our strong partnership with Ryanair, whose investment supports over 1,000 jobs and underscores their vital economic contribution to enhancing connectivity for both business and leisure travel.”
