Minister of Tourism and Sports, Nikolina Brnjac said:

The airline industry is of strategic importance for the tourism sector. So, the news that Ryanair is reopening its base in Zadar brings us much joy. Especially since it will connect Croatia with as much as 37 European destinations.

In preparation for the upcoming tourism season, Croatia is systematically tackling all the epidemiological segments to satisfy health and safety protocols and conditions for the entry and stay of our guests. The possibilities are open when enabling the crossing of borders with a proof that a person has been vaccinated against COVID-19, recovered from COVID-19 or received a negative test result, approved by the EU whether PCR or antigen tests. It is a new step further in establishing all the necessary conditions so Croatia could readily welcome its guests and have a successful tourism season.”

Zadar airport’s Director, Josip Klišmanić said:

“In the last 14 years Ryanair is Zadar airports the most important partner. Comeing back with the base and 37 routes, of which is even 17 new routes in the season and challenging times in which we have to fight for every passenger is not just good news, but it is a confirmation of our excellent cooperation with Ryanair. We hope that it will be on such level in the future.”

Zadar Region Tourist Board ‘s Managing Director, Mihaela Kadija said:

The opening of the base and connection to 37 destinations once again confirms the success of the long-standing partnership between Ryanair and Zadar. This cooperation is extremely important especially in this challenging and demanding year. After Zadar Region finished last season above all expectations and above the competition, showing that we have a great product and loyal markets, we believe that with this air connectivity, we can count on success in this difficult year. We expect that after the pandemic begins to calm down, travel will be more desirable than ever and many tourists will want to, and thanks to Ryanair, be able to visit Zadar and the Region and enjoy their well-deserved vacation.

Ryanair recognized the tourism of Zadar County back in 2007, and to this day it has certainly contributed to the recognition of our destination. Therefore, this is a great opportunity to thank all the participants for the cooperation to which they contributed and enabled this extremely important project for tourism in Zadar County to live continuously for 14 years.”
