Ryanair Unveils Top Moroccan Hotspots For Summer ‘22

As summer holiday planning gets underway, Ryanair has shared some interesting travel insights for Irish customers taking a trip to the sunny shores of Morocco this summer. From visiting cultural and historic sites to exploring new food and drink scenes like you’ve never experienced before to browsing Morocco’s famously colourful markets – planning your trip to Agadir or Marrakesh this summer has just been made easier with these top tips.

Agadir – Renowned for its sandy beaches that stretch over 10km of Atlantic coastline – Morocco’s most vibrant city is the perfect location for water sport fans. Allow yourself to be spoilt for choice and opt for kayaking, surfing or parasailing while soaking in the best views. For those who prefer fun on dry land, take a hiking trip in the nearby Paradise Valley – a particularly picturesque hike trail surrounding incredible emerald waters. Drive the twisting and turning mountain roads, passing through traditional Berber villages to reach Imouzzer, which is perfectly perched in the Atlas Mountains. In summary, this Moroccan city has plenty to offer, whether exploring the elegant market stalls, cafes and shops in Port de Plaisance or bartering over priceless treasures in the traditional Souk market, you’re certain to have the time of your life.

Marrakesh – Famed as the ‘red city’ of Morocco from the circus-like square of Jemaa El-Fnaa to the ornate palaces and stunning gardens, it offers a bit of something for everyone. Marrakesh is a must visit destination for tourists seeking out a quintessential Moroccan experience. Steeped in history and culture and a mixture of old and new, Marrakesh has its own unique personality. Soak up the bustling Medina souks where you’ll find authentic items from jewellery, lamps and tagine pots as well as authentic spices & rich musky oud oils. Take a trip to the Atlas Mountains and explore the flat terrain on camel back before hiking further to take in the views and waterfalls. Lastly, make sure to take a stroll through the impressive Jardin Majorelle – once purchased by founder of French fashion house Yves Saint Laurent in 1980 to save it from destruction. Jardin Majorelle is home to over 3,000 botanical species, an art deco villa, and a museum of the history of Berbers and is an Instagrammers heaven with its bright vivid colours!

Ryanair operates twice weekly flights to both Agadir and Morocco from Dublin all summer. To celebrate these amazing Moroccan routes, Ryanair has launched a limited-time seat sale with fares available from just €19.99 for travel until October 2022. These fares are sure to be snapped up quickly, so make sure to log onto Ryanair.com before midnight Thursday, 10th March.
