As summer holiday planning gets underway, Ryanair has shared some interesting travel insights for Irish customers taking a trip to the sunny shores of Morocco this summer. Marrakesh – Famed as the ‘red city’ of Morocco from the circus-like square of Jemaa El-Fnaa to the ornate palaces and stunning gardens, it offers a bit of something for everyone. Marrakesh is a must visit destination for tourists seeking out a quintessential Moroccan experience. Steeped in history and culture and a mixture of old and new, Marrakesh has its own unique personality. Soak up the bustling Medina souks where you’ll find authentic items from jewellery, lamps and tagine pots as well as authentic spices & rich musky oud oils. Take a trip to the Atlas Mountains and explore the flat terrain on camel back before hiking further to take in the views and waterfalls. Lastly, make sure to take a stroll through the impressive Jardin Majorelle – once purchased by founder of French fashion house Yves Saint Laurent in 1980 to save it from destruction.
