RYANAIR WELCOMES COMMERCIAL COURT OF MADRID’S RULING AGAINST KIWI
Ryanair, Europe’s No.1 airline, today (3 Oct) welcomed yesterday’s ruling of the Commercial Court of Madrid, which rejected Kiwi’s injunction application seeking to remove Ryanair’s enhanced-security check-in procedures for passengers whose bookings are made by Online Travel Agents (OTAs).
Ryanair’s Dara Brady said:
“We welcome this Court ruling which ensures that passengers who have booked via OTAs can continue to use our enhanced-security check-in procedures to check-in personally with Ryanair and are notified of important safety, security and public health protocols, and to correct passenger contact details. Ryanair does not have a commercial relationship with Kiwi and we strongly object to Kiwi selling our flights. We encourage our customers to look out for the Ryanair Verified Seal, a branded tick which guarantees you are booking via an official Ryanair channel, and to book directly with us through our website (www.ryanair.com) or mobile app to get the best Ryanair service and the lowest fares.”
