RYANAIR WELCOMES FIRST PASSENGERS TO ALBANIA

Ryanair, Europe’s biggest and lowest fares airline, today (31st Oct) welcomed its first passengers to Albania who arrived this morning on Ryanair’s inaugural flight from Rome to Tirana. This is just one of seventeen routes that Ryanair will serve to/from Albania this Winter, connecting key inbound tourism markets including Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Sweden and the UK. Ryanair’s presence in Albania not only drives connectivity, year-round traffic and tourism growth, but supports hundreds of new jobs at the airport while providing Albanian citizens/visitors with lower fares and more choice all year round.

Ryanair’s new Albanian flights will deliver;

  • 17 new routes including Brussels, Dusseldorf, London, Milan, Paris and Rome
  • Fares that start from just €15 one way
  • Over 1.6m passengers p.a. in year 1
  • Sustaining over 1,000 local jobs in Albania

Speaking from Tirana, Ryanair’s Mauro Bolla said:

“Ryanair is delighted to welcome our first passengers here to Tirana as Albania officially becomes the 37th country in Ryanair’s network. Ryanair has already seen record demand for flights to/from Tirana and with 17 routes now in operation enabling our Albanian customers to enjoy competitive fares and increased connectivity to visit home or friends and family abroad.

We have big plans for Albania, and we look forward to welcoming even more passengers onboard flights to/from Tirana as we continue to grow to carry 300m passenger p.a. by 2034.”
