RYANAIR’S LOW FARES LAND AT NORWICH

RYANAIR ANNOUNCES FLIGHTS TO ALICANTE, FARO & MALTA FROM APRIL 2024

Ryanair, the UK’s No.1 airline, today (6th Dec) announced that it will begin operations at Norwich Airport for the first time ever this Summer, with 3 exciting new Summer sunshine routes – Alicante, Faro, and Malta – commencing from 1st April 2024. Norwich will become Ryanair’s 22nd UK airport, providing competitive fares, increased connectivity, and unbeatable choice to customers in Norwich and the wider Norfolk region who have traditionally been forced to pay sky high fares by the high fare carriers who dominate at Norwich Airport. In addition, Ryanair’s new Norwich operation will drive invaluable inbound tourism for the region and create over 60 local jobs from Summer ’24, supporting important regional growth and development.

Ryanair’s brand-new Norwich Summer 2024 schedule will deliver:

  • 3 new routes – Alicante, Faro & Malta
  • 12 flights per week to/from Norwich
  • 60,000 passengers in Summer 2024
  • Over 60 new local jobs

Ryanair is the UK’s No.1 airline operating over 440 routes and carrying over 52m passengers p.a. to/from the UK on its fleet of 107 UK-based aircraft ($10.7bn investment), driving year-round connectivity and inbound tourism which supports over 37,000 UK jobs. While competitor airline capacity throughout Europe stagnates, Ryanair will continue to grow to carry 300 million passengers p.a. by 2034, as it takes delivery of a further 400 aircraft (incl. 300 Boeing MAX-10 aircraft) making it the only airline that can deliver real meaningful growth over the next 5 years at least.

To celebrate Ryanair’s arrival to Norwich, the airline has launched a limited-time seat sale on its 3 new routes to/from Norwich with fares for travel from April 2024 until October 2024 from just £29.99, which must be booked by Saturday 9th December, available only on Ryanair’s app/website.

Speaking from Norwich Airport, Ryanair’s Head of Communication, Jade Kirwan, said:

“As the UK’s No.1 airline, we are delighted to announce that Ryanair’s low fares have finally arrived in Norwich. From 1st April 2024, we will operate 3 exciting new Summer sunshine routes to/from Norwich – Alicante, Faro, and Malta. Our new Norwich operation will not only bring competitive fares and a wider selection of Summer routes to our customers in Norwich and the wider Norfolk region, but will support important regional development through increased connectivity, inbound tourism, and local job creation.

We have worked productively with our new partners at Norwich Airport to agree terms which enable Ryanair to deliver this growth and investment for the region, and we look forward to further developing our partnership with Norwich Airport and welcoming Norfolk customers/visitors onboard our Ryanair flights to/from Norwich as we continue to grow to 300 million p.a. by 2034.”

Richard Pace, Managing Director of Norwich Airport, said:

“This is fantastic news for passengers and the first time that Ryanair has flown from Norwich Airport. Alicante, Faro and Malta are hugely popular destinations and with twice-weekly flights it means we can offer passengers even more great choice from their local airport. We’re delighted to be increasing connectivity for local communities and look forward to growing our partnership with Ryanair.”
