RYANAIR’S NEW SUMMER 2025 ROUTES FROM BRUSSELS TAKE OFF
Ryanair, Europe’s No.1 low fares airline, today (Tue, 1 Apr), announced the first flights of its new Summer 2025 routes from Brussels Charleroi to Katowice, Rome and Salerno took off this week. Ryanair will operate 2 flights per week on each of these new routes as part of Ryanair’s Summer 2025 schedule, providing Belgian citizens/visitors with even more choice at the lowest fares.
These are just 3 of 117 routes that Ryanair is operating to/from Brussels Charleroi Airport this summer, all of which are available to book now at ryanair.com.
Ryanair’s Comms Director, Jade Kirwan, said:
“Ryanair was pleased to see the first flights of our new Summer 2025 routes from Brussels Charleroi to Katowice, Rome and Salerno take-off this week, carrying lots of happy holidaymakers and marking the beginning of the Summer 2025 season. These exciting new Summer 2025 routes will each operate 2 times per week, offering our Belgian customers even more choice at the lowest fares when booking their summer getaways.
Ryanair will not grow again at Brussels Zaventem in 2025 due to the airport’s high charges, which have increased 20% since Covid and are due to rise again in 2025, making Brussels Zaventem hopelessly uncompetitive against airports across Europe who are lowering fees and charges to promote traffic growth.
Ryanair will, over the next decade, grow from 200m to 300m passengers p.a., but this growth must be facilitated by competitive reform from the EU Commission and national Govts for the benefit of EU citizens. Ryanair calls on the new Commission under Ursula von der Leyen to urgently address these issues as follows:
1. Reform Europe’s failed ATC system.
2. Modernise Europe’s outdated ownership and control rules.
3. Prevent national govts re-regulating air travel.
4. Scrap aviation taxes, which penalise EU citizens on short haul but exempt non-EU citizens on long haul routes.
Ryanair’s full Summer 2025 schedule with over 2,000 routes across over 230 destinations is available to book now at ryanair.com.”
