Ryanair takes its responsibility regarding privacy and the security of information very seriously. We will be clear and transparent about the information we are collecting and what we will do with that information.

The processing of personal data in the context of our ‘Protect passengers – keep EU skies open’ petition is governed by both our Privacy Policy(https://www.ryanair.com/ie/en/corporate/privacy-policy)  and these Terms & Conditions.

Data controller

“Ryanair” (referred to as “we”, “us”, “our” or “Ryanair”) primarily refers to Ryanair DAC, the main operating company of the Ryanair group, or other entities over which Ryanair exercises management control.  Ryanair DAC is the “data controller” of all personal information that is collected and used in the context of the ‘Protect passengers – keep EU skies open’ petition for the purposes of the Irish Data Protection Act 2018 or, as applicable, the UK Data Protection Act 2018. Ryanair is registered in Ireland with registration number 104547 and registered office at Ryanair Dublin Office, Airside Business Park, Swords, Co. Dublin.

Information we collect

We will collect the following personal information from you when you sign our petition:

  • Your first name and surname;
  • Your email address.

Note: Our petition is not directed at people under the age of 18.

How we use your information

When you sign the petition, your personal information will be collected by us and may be shared with the European Commission or a professional auditor.

Sharing of your personal data

We may share your personal information with the European Commission or a professional auditor to enable them to verify the number of unique signatures.

How long do we keep your data

We will not retain your data for longer than is necessary to fulfil the purpose it is being processed for. To determine the appropriate retention period, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the purposes for which we process it and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means.  We will also consider if and how we can minimise over time the personal data that we use, and if we can anonymise your personal data so that it can no longer be associated with you or identify you, in which case we may use that information without further notice to you. In relation to the petition, we will not retain your data for longer than 3 years.
